Superman Returns and Stuff.

Well. I figure I might bring a few things to your attention. First being I want to see Superman Returns. However if you know me at all you already knew that. The problem is I can only really go see it Thursday or Friday. Or wait. I'd rather not wait. So when do you want to go?
Second. Not that my Canada day plans were huge but they're even smaller now. As I'll be working. Cause I need money. Also less booze.
Finally some other crap. This was cool even though its a year away. The trailer got me pretty excited to see it. I don't really get this, a triple threat he is not. I was going to say something else but I forgot what the hell it was. I'll post pics of the draft later. Or maybe never.

Reality Bites.

I really haven't been feelin up to blogging. Yet, last night after a long work week I decided to dive into some "new" reality tv. America's Got Talent or something to that affect. What did I learn from my experience watching this.
1. Place a million dollars in front of someone and they'll do anything
2. "Talent" needs a better definition.
3. The panel of judges will always have the formula (brit, robotic chick, level head)
Although I wouldn't really call The Hoff level headed after watching that. That guy has issues.
I think my faith in reality tv has been shaken. Along with my faith in America's Talent.

This week has not been good for me. Not just with work but other things. Part of me wants to blog about it. Just to get it out. However I dont think I can. There's only so much I can do. This is not one of them.

Day one

Day one of this work week brought many amusing moments. The pumps (or two of the grades on the pumps)weren't working properly. So with out of order signs on all the pumps at the station, you can imagine the idiots we had to deal with.
Highlights include: A guy in a van driving around to every pump before coming in the store. Then yelling at us.
A guy in a Chevy backing up to a pump seeing the sign. Moving up to another pump seeing the sign. Moving back to previous pump. Repeat 5 times. At first I thought he was just trying to get as close as possible but apparently that was not the case.
I seriously hope there fixed today.

Durnken Dunning.

Okay. Well I dont have any real comments to make here. Look for a new podcast next week. Im sorta tipsy now but not to an extreme point. You know. I think i've lost all faith in movies which premise is "Reality is not reality"
If reality is not reality then what is it? It has to be something. It exists doesnt it? Its tangible. Perhaps even fungible. I cant really say but whatever the case its there. I guess existence is just a state of mind. My mind right now is two screwed up to know what exist and what doesnt.
Damn I could really go for some cake. I dont have enough excuses to eat cake. Let me have my cake and eat it too damnt! Why the hell is queen whatsherface bogarting the cake. More to the point how did bogart become a term. Did Humphry Bogart, Bogart something in the past that made everyone jelous of his bogarting ways and decided to dem the term bogart? I think so.
I decided I'd save my rant about alternate deminisions and dementia for next saturdays offical podcast two. Be also ready for my rant on "Pennies Friend or foe?" Such will be my thesis as the evening progresses. Right now I am leading towards foe.
You know who else is my foe? Skeletor. What the hell was he exactly? Ah Battlecat how underused you were. Well I really dont know what else to say except why have one percent when you can have two and dance like you'll spontainously combust.

Friday Topics.

Well now, perhaps I wasn't clear but we need topics for the next podcast. Anything you wish to hear my durnken ass ramble about is fine by me. Any segments or special requests? I have an intro idea in my sober head, which I'll probably forget once I drink. Maybe I should write it on a sticky and paste it to the "two six" so I don't forget.
Anyway. Two weeks Superman Returns and so far press has been positive. I heard that from these guys which makes me think that it might not be terrible. Though I don't want to get my hopes up cause so many people get this character wrong. Yet I still have faith in Singer. Alright Well that's about it. Let's go Hurricanes.

Movies.

Bored. Decided to make a list of movies I'd like to rent this weekend. So far, I've only got two. 1) Jason and the Argonauts 2) Battle Royale I haven't seen the second, but people tell me its good. And I've forgotten much of the first. Any other movie suggestions? Oh yeah I should probably rent The Village. Other than those any other suggestions? Anyone have those movies? Finally will the second Podcast be used or we going to start again next week?

Today I...

Well I wish I could make this stuff up, but today I served a guy with no hands. In place of his hands were tongs. Thus I dubbed him Tong Hand Tony and will probably create a comic based on him. I also got in an argument with an asshole customer who apparently cant learn to read. Plus his cards kept getting declined and he kept blaming that on me. Finally we had yet another driveoff from a deadbeat. Who the hell goes to a gas station and forgets to bring their wallet? I doubt he even had a wallet. Anyway Im going to go watch the England game thats being replayed. Later.

Last Night

Last Night my friends tried to kill me with booze. Its a wonder I survived at all. But I did survive to tell my tale. However in the process my art has suffered along with my stomach. If we are to continue to do these podcasts. We need a) better direction b)better questions c) less booze. I think you all could help out with B. Not only should you suggest questions but also features you want to hear, the best will be picked. This is your show, my booze and hopefully my stomach will still be around tomorrow. Anyway Im out.

6 6 6 disappointment.

This is why numerology sucks. Not that I was expecting anything to happen. Infact it took me till halfway through my shift to even realize that it was the supposed day of reckoning. Yet everything went swimmingly. At least for me. Did anything weird actually happen? Anyone see the nutjobs downtown sputtering incoherent rants on doomsday? More to the point did anyone go see the omen? And was it good? Even if it was I think I'd still like to save my money until Superman Returns. Hooray for Superman. On a totally unrelated note. Will there be a durnken dunning podcast 2? Is there a demand for more? Is there a demand at all? Tune in Friday and find out.

Durnken Dunning Next Step.....

the next step in the evolutionary chain of Durnken dunning is podcast form. Thats right you heard me Podcasts. Tonight we recorded a fairly lengthy podcast of what durnken dunning may or may not turn out to be. Money goes bye bye

Well my 50 bucks and a chance at a thousand is gone. Yeah I know, I didn't really expect to win it either. But in retrospect I actually played a decent game. I out lasted some good players. Made very few fuckups. Infact there were only two that kinda pissed me off. When I finally got eliminated it was a coinflip with a decent hand and a low pair. I had the decent hand and didn't get shit on the flop. It also ticked me off that there were buyins in the first hour. Playing with people who actually have money put me at a bit of a disadvantage. Yet like I said I didnt suck it up. Not completely anyway. Well that's it for me. More updates tomorrow.
